It’s nice to think I have the opportunity to write anything I want here.
Here on this website, right? What about you? Where you can you write anything you want? Your website?
Or… The world around you?
I’d much rather write here than write the homework I have that will decide 6% of my final class grade. I’d much rather write here, where what I say is less important… But, is it?
Wherever you’re at right now, you should know that your life is a story, written to the world around you. We may try to write stories in songs, and some may try to write stories in movies or books, but the truth is, it’s much simpler than that. What song you are singing, what story you’re telling… It’s as simple as writing it in the way you walk and the way you talk. And what I write here is the opposite of having no consequence.

It isn’t over yet, we’re just college students who are busy with school, etc. I’m looking forward to a possible band practice in the not-too-distant future. We’ll see.

We really did have a great show this past Monday night, and I want to say thanks to everyone who came out to see us. And, how about a special thanks to everyone who came and thought we were awesome. We all know those people are right.
I’m not kidding.
…
Just kidding.

Just wanted to throw an update at you real quick! I’m excited to get into a steady practice schedule throughout the school year – beginning this weekend! We’ll be starting to work on some new and different songs. There’s at least a couple that Charlie and I played at the acoustic show that I’m excited to work on as a full band. Keep in touch and buy your ticket to our October 12th show directly from us!

… But I hope and pray that God takes our music somewhere He’s planned for it to go. I don’t know what will come of this, but I hope it’s a long ride!
I thought I’d talk about our first show. A mere eight days after our first practice as a band together, we played at Mixtape Cafe in Grand Rapids, MI. It was amazing being able to play at the same show as We Shot The Moon. I’ve known the voice of Jonathan Jones, the band’s frontman, ever since my own musical taste began forming back in high school. I was proud to own Waking Ashland’s cd Composure, and now I’ve started my own band and we’re opening for this singer that I’ve listened to so many times — let alone meeting him and getting to talk with him on a personal level? How cool. What a blessing it is just to have this experience alone.
I do hope there is more to come! And I hope you do, too!
